Driver's License Information

Class D License Issue Fee: $36.25 valid for 4 years from the date of initial application for first time licenses or 4 years from date of expiration.

State ID for Person Under Age 62: $36.25 valid for 8 years from the date of initial application for first time issuance or 8 years from date of expiration.

State ID for Person Age 62 and Over: $5.50 valid for lifetime.

Learner's Permit: $36.25 valid for 4 years. When the person passes the driving exam there is not a charge for the first driver's license if it has been less than 4 years.

Duplicates: Please contact our office for fees and required documentation. You may renew or request a replacement driver's license or State ID at Judge of Probate's Office, 1000 Broad Street, Phenix City, AL.
